Marylou's coffee is now available at some local grocery stores. Bags of their coffee and boxes of their K-Cups have been spotted at Sudbury Farms, Roche Bros. and Market Basket. Some of their most popular flavors like Mocha Mint, Milky Wey, and Banana Nut Bread are available. This is great news for people like me who don't have a Marylou's nearby.

Growing tired of the national chain that's on every corner, which offers the same tasteless donuts and coffee? Check out Gourmet Donuts for a large variety of donuts, muffins, iced coffees and bagels. Eat Up New England stopped by their Westboro location today and was wowed by the selection.
The iced coffee menu at Gourmet Donuts is truly impressive. There's every flavor you can think of from banana cream pie and chocolate covered strawberry to mocha mint and maple french toast. They even make up special brews like cookie dough and KitKat. Gourmet Coffee also offers season coffees like Smashing Pumpkin and Vermont Maple Walnut. In the summer, stop by for one of their Del's or Watermelon frozen drinks.
Gourmet Donuts sells a variety of donuts. Classics like chocolate frosted, jelly, honey dip, maple frosted and rainbow sprinkles are available all year, with special donuts around certain holidays.
Eat Up New England enjoyed the chocolate raspberry iced coffee with a chocolate glazed donut. One thing I've never seen before is their Car Visor Menu, which lists all of their products and folds up for tucking away. It's a great idea for repeat customers on the go.

The barista said, "Your coffee is free today. A nice lady paid for everyone's breakfast." She quickly flashed a Starbucks gift card, implying the woman placed a large amount of money on the card. I was stunned. So was everyone else.
With politics and gun control dividing everyone, how nice that an anonymous stranger tried to bring everyone together, if only for a moment, with a random act of kindness.

Marylou's Coffee is one of Eat Up New England's favorite local chains. It's known for their unique flavored coffees like Banana Split, Butterfinger, Chocolate Mint Cookie, Strawberry Shortcake, to name just a few. Eat Up New England's favorite non-caffeinated drink is their Oreo Cookie Monster. I often order it at their Sagamore Beach location before spending the day at the beach. It's so cool, refreshing and amazingly tasty.

It was a Christmas that no one will ever forget at a Starbucks in Connecticut. 1,468 customers took part in a pay it forward chain during Christmas week. It all began on Christmas Eve, with one customer paying for the person behind them in the drive thru line at the Starbucks on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut.

Caffe Vittoria in Boston's historic North End is a legendary spot for dessert and a warm drink. There's nothing better than going for a hearty meal and then stopping by Caffee Vittoria for dessert. Flannel shirts and customized backpacks usually come to mind when you think of L.L. Bean, but did you know the famous Maine clothing company also sells their own brews of coffee? You can buy their Foggy Morning Coffee at any of their stores in New England. Their coffees are roasted just for them in Portland, Maine. Different flavors are available in different seasons. I love their pumpkin spice and blueberry blends. Welcome to Eat Up New England, a blog about some of the best places to eat around New England and sometimes beyond.
It's only appropriate that I kick things off at Krispy Kreme. I recently visited one of the donut chains locations at Mohegan Sun. If you've never been, all of the donuts are great. They are known for their glazed donuts, which are excellent warm. If you go to one of their bakeries (and you ask nicely) you can often get one for free along with a baker's hat.
