$9.99 FOR A LOBSTER ROLL PLATTER? YES, PLEASE!

Wednesday, May 30, 2018
A taste of summer in the city. Tonight, Uno's was offering lobster platters to their Insiders members for just $9.99. Needless to say, their Framingham location was jumping. That's a great price at any time, but with the sky high price of lobster meat this season, it's a STEAL. PLUS, it comes with clam chowder, fries and cider cole slaw. Uno's Insiders Club is one of the best restaurant programs. It's free to join and they hook up members with great deals like this one all of the time.

FREE FOOD FOR ALL AT EARTHFEST!

Saturday, May 18, 2013
If you're a food fan, one of the greatest events to get some free food is the annual WBOS EarthFest. Nantucket Nectars and Honest Tea were among the many vendors handing out free samples of their drinks. Barnstable's own Late July was handing out some of its delicious organic chips and Sabra was giving out samples of their hummus and chips. One of my favorite freebies: Olivia's salads. RCN was even hooking up concertgoers with free ice cream man classics like Bugs Bunny and Spider-Man with gumball eyes. A great event, made even nicer by the beautiful weather and music by Vertical Horizon, Fastball, Cracker and others.
Crazy breads on display by Whole Foods. They also handed out free bags.

DID YOU GET YOUR FREE CONE TODAY?

Tuesday, April 09, 2013
Every April, Vermont's own Ben & Jerry's thanks its loyal customers with "Free Cone Day." As you can see from this picture in Natick, MA, there were long lines today at some of their locations. If you've never taken part, all you have to do is show up at any of their locations and you get a free ice cream cone. Whatever flavor you want. If you weren't able to stand in line today, there's always next year!

UPDATE: Free Cone Day is so popular that Ben & Jerry's customers crashed their Website trying to learn more about it!

EAT UP NE FAVORITE: NOT YOUR AVERAGE JOE'S

Saturday, April 06, 2013
The bread and that blend of olive oil & cheese. No matter who you talk to about Not Your Average Joe's, they will no doubt rave about the bread and that magical, yet simple concoction of oil, cheese and spices. Every meal starts out with it and once you've tried it, you're hooked. There's no turning back. It's just so damn good.

There's a full bar and if you stop by now between Monday and Wednesday, they'll let you sample one of their many wines. I tend to order one of their seasonal beers. Lately, I've been going for their sangria. They give you a full wine glass, which is more than enough to last through your meal.

The entree selection is endless. There are salads, stone-hearth pizzas, sandwiches and burgers. I tend to order off of the "Joe's Creations" and "Joe's Favorites" sections of the menu. Here, you'll find their specialties. I can recommend the chicken piccata with fettuccine, the herb-crusted haddock and the chicken farfalle wth fresh mozzarella. They don't skimp on the portions. All of their meals will fill you up. Last night, I went for something I hadn't tried before: the mustard-crusted chicken. My God, was it good. Two big chicken breasts soaked in their three mustard marinade. They're breaded, pan seared and served up with green beans and a hearty portion of garlic mashed potatoes. You know you've had a good meal when you're stuffed full and are still craving more. That's how I felt about the mustard-crusted chicken.

If you still have room for dessert, there most popular dessert is the "Peanut Butter Thing," a huge hunk of peanut butter ice cream cake covered in Oreo cookie crumbs. It's perfect for two or three people.
