Mexican restaurants were filled to capacity today for Cinco de Mayo. Eat Up New England enjoyed lunch at Mexico City Taqueria in Ashland, Massachusetts. The margaritas were flowing and everyone was munching on chips and salsa. Customers got hooked up with free Corona swag like T-shirts, sombreros and sunglasses. It was a nice way for people to always remember Cinco de Mayo 2019. , ,

Cinco de Mayo falling on a Sunday this year means that all of us really have TWO days to celebrate. Eat Up New England kicked things off yesterday at the lovely new Temazcal in Framingham, Massachusetts. Their huge basket of tortilla chips with three dips is always a crowd pleaser. For dinner, I scarfed down their chicken fajitas. The chicken was amazing. , ,
