The Yard House has opened up its latest locations in Millbury, Massachusetts. It's one of several new restaurants opening at The Shops at Blackstone Valley.

The Yard House is a national chain known for its large variety of draft beer. There are more than 90 on tap at this location. What really sets the Yard House apart is beer lovers can enjoy their brew in a half yard glass. It's huge. 

The Yard House has a bunch of burgers, salads, seafood, pastas and sandwiches on their menu. I love their chicken nachos. It had been years since I enjoyed them, so I ordered some to go. I got a huge tray full of nachos and another with all of the toppings.

I visited this new location around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon and it was very busy. This place is built to handle the crowd. There is plenty of seating at tables and around their large bar. 

More restaurants are set to open at The Shops at Blackstone Valley in the coming months including Shake Shack, Sweetgreen and Avvio.

Haven Hot Chicken has been all the buzz in Connecticut for some time. The tasty chicken restaurant has now crossed the border into Massachusetts, opening its first location in Franklin.

Haven is known for its delicious chicken sandwiches which are smothered in their special sauce with coleslaw and pickles. There are also chicken tenders and a grilled chicken sandwich on the menu. Choose your heat from no spice to extremely spicy. My favorite item on their menu is their Fuego Fries, which are french fries topped with chicken, coleslaw, pickles and their sauce. I highly recommend their Wrap Snack, which is a chicken wrap with cheese and ranch dressing. Amazing.

Mac and cheese is also on the menu, which can be topped with chicken. There's also a grilled chicken Caesar salad. My kids enjoy the kids meals which come with a tendie, fries, apple juice, pickles and toast. For dessert, try their banana bread pudding.

HHC also has an app where customers earn points for free food.
