PAPA GINO’S ABRUPTLY CLOSES DOZENS OF LOCATIONS

Employees and customers alike were shocked today when dozens of Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo locations were permanently closed with no notice. Locations in Seekonk, Beverly, Mansfield and Chelsea are among the many that shut down along with several in Rhode Island. There are now about 95 locations left across New England, mostly in Massachusetts. Workers left suddenly jobless are being told they can reapply for positions at other locations. Customers on Twitter are outraged with the lack of warning especially as the holidays approach.

UPDATE: Papa Gino's And D'Angelos have been sold to a new owner. It seems the weakest stores were closed. The remaining locations will be remodeled. , ,
